New Saltillo Flooring for The Karwoski’s!!! We wanted to redo our flooring in our beautiful custom home. The carpet had to go and we knew we wanted some authentic Spanish tile and we quickly fell in love with the Saltillo Tile!! While finding the tile wasn’t difficult, finding a place that would not only install it, but that also had a designer available to ensure we chose the right products, was NOT that easy! Until we found @MexicanTileandStoneco. We visited their beautiful showroom in Phoenix and were assisted by Terri Fortuna (the product Importer) and she showed us a ton of different shapes, colors, finishes and she was incredibly knowledgeable about everything! We brought in photos of our unique living room and she had a lot of great suggestions on what would and wouldn’t work. Robert Peddle, the designer and project manager even came over to help us figure out exactly what we needed! We knew within 15 minutes that THESE were the people who were going to help us make our living room as unique as the rest of our home! Within 2 weeks, they were here, ripping out our living room carpet and began laying the tile! The whole process was very smooth! The field and project superintendent, Chuck Jennings, was there making sure everything was done to their own high standards. The finished product is even more beautiful than we could have dreamed! With the exception of a large area rug and a couple side tables, our living room is complete thanks to Mexican Tile and Stone Co! We have just completed nearly a one year project with Mexican Tile and Stone, which included replacing all the floors in our home, gutting and remodeling a bathroom, building a drink center and numerous other smaller components. Joe Fortuna and his staff shepherded us through the entire process. His designer, Robert, is very talented and has a unique understanding of southwest features. Joe’s foreman, Chuck, has a deep knowledge of the nuances of remodeling. Joe has compiled a fantastic team, one that is talented and experienced. Most importantly, Joe is a man of his word. Remodeling jobs always have surprises. You don’t know what is really behind those walls until you open them. There was no “nickel and dimming” as we uncovered issues. He just got the job done and made it as easy on us as he could. I recommend this company highly and without reservation!

I highly recommend Mexican Tile and Stone. Scale 1- 10, they get a 10. I hired them to refurbish my Saltillo tile in my home. They are honest, professional, and deliver high quality work. Wade listened to exactly what I wanted. He gave me all my options, made sure we were on the same page, and guaranteed the work. We set an appointment about a month out and it was worth the wait. Wade made sure that i was happy at every stage of the project. Yes, other company’s were cheaper, but they did not offer the same process, and tried to sell me on their only option which was not what I wanted. Mexican Tiles was the only company I talked to that gave me a choice of a Matte or glossy finish. They left a cleaner with the proper ph for these types of floors. I appreciated the discussion on the best way to maintain the finish. Every day I got an update from Wade, I came by to check in and was excited to see their work. (it did smell so I was glad I stayed at a friends) This is a stellar company, My floors look brand new.

I highly recommend the Mexican Tile and Stone Company. I had two separate jobs to complete. The first was an installation and the second was a strip and reseal of existing Saltillo tile. From my initial visit with Wade, the restoration manager, I knew the jobs were going to be done right and with a fair price. The installation team led by Chuck, Nacho and Albert were superior! They were on time (most often early) every morning, worked hard throughout the day, were friendly, professional, clean and meticulous with their craftsmanship. My new tile both on the floor and in a bathroom remodel is beautiful! Next came the strip and reseal of my current tile. The team of Angel, Miza and John were also excellent. They did a wonderful job and my tile looks brand new! They were even able to match colors to cover stains and do all necessary repairs. I was impressed with the attention to detail and customer service that I received by both of the work teams and management at the home office (Stefano, Robert, Terri). If you are looking to have tile installed, repaired or resurfaced you can’t go wrong with this team. From start to finish they are a quality, professional business that produces outstanding results at a fair price!

And thank you, Ben, for your job overseeing. Although our job was a just one room, you helped us with decisions so that the floor would look like the rest of our Saltillo flooring. You answered lots of questions and you were there both days to see how the job was progressing.
We also have some advice for those who would attempt to install Saltillo tile themselves. DON’T DO IT. We did and it did not turn out well. We were penny wise, pound foolish. The flooring had to be removed and redone by experienced installers of Saltillo (Mexican Tile and Stone).
