Slate
Slate is a stone formed in a sheet-like, layered structure. Slate
is colored gray to black, but may also be brown, red, yellow and
green. The mineral content determines the color range. Slate is
a metamorphic rock. It is available from many countries including
the United States. Common finishes are a natural cleft face, honed
and tumbled.

Copper – a blend of rust colors
Autumn – a blend of earth tones
Gray – traditional gray tones
Black – traditional black

Canterra
Canterra is stone formed from volcanic, igneous rock. In Spanish,
canterra means “quarry”. Its basic composition is
a molten rock material. It is very colorful and can be used for
flooring, walls and for carved fireplaces and architectural features.
Common finishes are honed and chisel face.
Common available
colors are:
Magenta – a purplish color that is unique in its own appearance
Café II – a grayish, brown color that lends a neutral
range
Negro – a black stone
Blanco – a whitish, gray color range
Tobacco – a deep golden, brown color range
Travertine
Travertine is stone formed by the deposits of calcium carbonate
around springs and streams. The stone is porous and is filled
with a cement-like product to fill in the voids. The quality of
the stone is generally determined by how large the holes are that
have to be filled. This stone is the more economical group of
mass-produced floor and wall material. It is produced in a honed
(smooth and low sheen), brushed (dimpled and slightly textured)
or tumbled (antiqued) finish.

colors are:
Classic – light, beige color
Brown – dark, common reference name is “noche”
Red – various colors of red and earth tones. Common reference
name is “rojo”
Gold – various colors of yellow and gold tones. Common reference
name is “oro”
Borgata
Pavers
Borgatas are a flashed clay brick, handmade in Mexico. Its unique
multicolor look is unequaled in any other product. It is a seasonal
product made by migrant workers. During the season, normally April
through August, brick can usually be delivered with approximately
two weeks notice. Common sizes are 4x8, 6x12, 12x12, 8x16. It
is easy to split these bricks into veneers on ceilings, chimneys,
walls, doors, windows, columns, and building facades. These bricks
are also suitable to construct non-load bearing walls.
